
Ingredients:
- 1 cup coriander seeds
- ½ cup chana dal (split chickpeas)
- ¼ cup urad dal (split and dehusked black gram lentils)
- ⅓ cup cumin seeds
- 2 cloves
- ½ inch cinnamon stick
- 2 tablespoons black peppercorns
- ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 5 or 5 dry red chilis
- 10-15 curry leaves
- 1 teaspoon dry coconut flakes
Directions
- Heat a little bit of oil in a saucepan over medium high heat
- Once oil is hot enough, roast all the ingredients
- Once the spices are fragrant, take off the heat and grind into a fine powder
